Current Fairfax County pool operating regulations will supersede any Club pool rules.

A. Pool Hours

Opening Weekend

Friday, May 24th - 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 25th - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (No adult swim, all family swim begins at 11:00)

Sunday, May 26th - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Monday, May 27th - 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Memorial Day through Sunday, July 21st:

Sunday through Thursday - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (*Thursday, July 4th open at 10:00 a.m.)

Friday - 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Adult-only swim 11:00-12:00)

July 22nd through the First Day of Public School (Monday, August 19):

Sunday - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Friday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (No adult-only swim, all family swim begins at 11:00)

First day of public school (August 19th) through Labor Day:

Monday through Thursday - 12:00 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Friday - 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Sunday - 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Monday, September 2nd - 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Labor Day)

Final End of Season Pool Hours:

Monday, September 3rd - Friday, September 6th - Pool Closed

Saturday, September 7th - 12 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Sunday, September 8th - 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. (dogs in the pool event - 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

***Earlybird Lap Swim - Weekdays 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. From June 13th until the Friday before the First Day of Public School (Monday, August 19)

***Adult Coffee and Swim - Sundays 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (runs June-August)

Pool hours are subject to review annually by the club’s pool committee and Board of Directors.

B. Admission AND GUEST POLICIES

  1. Identification of all swimming and tennis members, by name and member number, will be made at the entrance by the Club gate attendant from May-September.

  2. All guests must be registered with the Club gate attendant. Pool guests should arrive with accompanying members and be checked in under the members’ account. A family may host up to 7 guests in a single day. Anyone wishing to bring more than 7 guests must seek prior approval from the club office. The guest fee is $5/guest per visit. The guest fee will be charged to the member’s account.

  3. Children under age 12 are not permitted in the pool area unless accompanied and supervised by a guardian 15 years of age or older.

  4. The Club gate attendant will refer admittance problems to the manager on duty, whose decision will prevail. Follow-up questions, recommendations, etc., should be addressed to the Board of Directors.

C. Safety

  1. No person shall use the pool unless it is officially open, a pool operator, and lifeguards are on duty.

  2. No running, rough play, inappropriate language, and other unsafe conduct is permitted.

  3. Tubes, floats, etc., are not permitted in the main pool, with the exception of Club sponsored events.

  4. Lifeguards will clear the pool of children (under 18 years old) at a quarter of the hour every hour for 15-minute breaks.

  5. Lifeguard stations are to be kept clear of bathers at all times. Guards are not to be engaged in unnecessary conversation while on duty.

  6. The manager will see that safety, health, etc. standards, including those set forth in Fairfax County Ordinances, are met.

  7. The manager will close the pools temporarily when there is an electrical storm in the area or for other safety or health reasons.

  8. Adults must limit children for whom they have accepted responsibility while at the pool to a number they can properly control.

  9. The pool enclosure does not permit hazardous objects (glass and other breakables).

D. Health

  1. Showers are required before entering the pool.

  2. Pets are not allowed within the Club area.

  3. Spitting and nose-blowing are not permitted in the pool.

  4. No smoking is permitted in the pool enclosure.

  5. Admission to the pool is refused to all persons having any of the following:

a. Skin disease of an infectious nature

b. Eye sores - inflamed or discharging

c. Nasal or ear discharge

d. Any communicable disease, including COVID-19 or Influenza

e. Excessive sunburn

f. Open sores

g. Fever or exposure to anyone with symptomatic illness

E. Wading Pool

  1. Use of the wading pool is restricted to children under age seven.

  2. Each child in the wading pool enclosure must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian 15 years or older.

  3. Rubber and plastic toys will be permitted in the wading pool. The manager may rule otherwise, if necessary, for safety reasons.

  4. Children not toilet trained must wear swim/water diapers to use the wading pool.

F. Main Pool

  1. Children in flotation devices must be under the direct supervision of their guardian(s).

  2. Children not toilet trained must wear swim/water diapers to use the main pool.

  3. Pool toys/equipment, including soft balls, are allowed at the lifeguards’ discretion.

  4. Diving is permitted only in the deep end, and in the 5-ft end of the lap lanes with the direct supervision of a swim instructor or adult.

  5. One to three pool lanes can be designated as lap lanes. If crowded conditions should prevail, lanes may be removed.

  6. Snorkels and/or fins are not permitted in the pool.

  7. The manager may designate special usage for certain sections of the pool.

G. Diving

  1. To use the diving board, children must be able to swim unassisted to the ladder. Lifeguards may require children to pass a swimming test.

  2. One person at a time is allowed on the diving board.

  3. Divers must wait until the previous diver reaches the ladder before he/she may dive.

  4. Divers must swim directly to the ladder and exit the pool.

  5. Only one bounce on the board is allowed before diving (unless you are under the direct supervision of a dive instructor).

  6. Fulcrum adjustments may be made under the supervision of a lifeguard or dive instructor ONLY.

  7. No running dives.

  8. No cartwheels, handstands, or hanging off the diving board.

  9. No swimming or playing in the diving area when diving boards are being used.

  10. The pool manager may restrict certain dives based on safety concerns.

H. General Pool Rules

  1. Eating is allowed in designated areas only: pool tables and grassy areas. Please discard all trash.

  2. Please place all waste or recycling in the containers provided.

  3. Pool management or staff will not be responsible for personal belongings.

  4. Club management and staff will decide on enforcing and interpreting all pool rules.

  5. Radios will not be permitted on the pool deck; however, they will be permitted on the green beach if kept at a low level.

  6. The telephone may be used for emergencies only.

  7. The ONLY cash transactions at the Club will be for purchases made in the Tennis Pro Shop, and the Pavilion Snack Bar. All club activity and social charges are billed to member accounts.

  8. There will be no loitering on the pool deck at the following places:

a. Entrance and exit to bathhouses.

b. Guard offices.

c. Emergency exit gate.

I. Pool Infractions

  1. Club employees are to report infractions of the rules to the manager on duty, who will report to the General Manager. The

    General Manager is authorized to suspend an individual’s pool privileges for a period of up to 48 hours. The Board of Directors will

    be notified of all suspensions. The Board of Directors will take appropriate action as provided in Article 1, Section 8, of the By-Laws.

  2. The pool staff will consist of the Pool Manager, Assistant Pool Manager, and certified lifeguards.

  3. Suggestions for improving pool operations are most welcome. Your ideas may be submitted using our online feedback system

    or in the suggestion box at the front entrance. The Pool Manager or the Assistant Pool Manager, one of whom will be on duty at

    all times, may be consulted in matters relating to pool operations.
